Katherine Mansfield and some risky advice

No series on the legacy of Katherine Mansfield would be complete without the father – daughter duo Karl Stead and Charlotte Grimshaw.
They are Mansfield Menton Fellowship winners: Karl in 1972, Charlotte in 2024.

Charlotte Grimshaw has just returned from Menton as the Mansfield Fellow, 50 years ago she was there with Karl and the whānau. She is also a formidable columnist, novelist, biographer and short story writer.
In her literary life she takes courage from Mansfield’s quote, ‘Risk! Risk anything! Care no more for the opinions of others!’
